On the morning of November 30, 2021, Professor Tang Yuxin, the head of our laboratory, organized the students to conduct a fire drill. In this drill, cardboard boxes were used instead of fire sources. Each student practiced personally and was familiar with different fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and fire masks. For the use of appliances, Professor Tang Yuxin finally led the students to sort out the fire exits. The purpose of this exercise is to strengthen students' awareness of fire safety, learn laboratory fire protection knowledge, and train students in emergency first aid skills.
Professor Tang Yuxin finally pointed out that “Safety experiments start from the heart, and experimental safety is the most important thing.” Laboratory safety work should start from the usual work and learning, learn from the lessons of safety accidents in various universities, and take precautions.
